He co-founded and was the first president of the Italian Society of Economic Sociology.<\/p>\n\n<p>He is a member of the editorial and scientific boards of the following academic journals: \u201cIl Mulino\u201d, \u201cStato e Mercato\u201d (for which he was editor-in-chief from 2011 to 2015); \u201cSouth European Society and Politics\u201d and \u201cSociologias\u201d. He has carried out numerous studies and researches in the field of economic sociology, with a focus on innovation, the economy of collaboration, local and regional development and urban and regional governance.<\/p>\n\n<p>Among his recent books in Italian: <em>L\u2019economia della collaborazione<\/em> (Il Mulino, 2019, with C. Manzo); <em>La terza missione degli accademici italiani<\/em> (Il Mulino, 2018, with A. Perulli, R. Semenza, M.
