Researcher of Medieval History at the University of Bologna. She has focussed on late medieval urban history, particularly on the urban development of ‘quasi’ cities between XIII and XV centuries, Renaissance iconographic sources for urban history, and urban fortifications, in terms of research projects and academics.

More recently, her research interests turned to the analysis of school and academic policies, specifically concerning teachers’ training and education incentive programmes.
